Ondekoza is a group of professionally- created Japanese drums founded in 1971 . The earliest group that spread a new taiko performance style called "playing a concert drum in a concert format (stage performance)" across the country. At the beginning of the formation, he lived a communal life based in Sado , drew attention in Japan and abroad with novel methods such as thorough running, playing in a sword, and adopting modern music, and became a spark of the modern Japanese drum boom.Currently based in Fuji City , Shizuoka Prefecture .
